Finding his happy

I have been very worried about Aidan lately, he seems to have lost his happy…My fears were confirmed when his teacher told me that recently he spends half his day beyond grumpy.
Anyone who knows Aidan knows that this is not like him at all, my little man tends to exude happiness from his every pore, he runs instead of walks, dances when he is happy and gets so excited he can’t get all his words out…

I put down the mood change to having two new cousins, he isn’t the only grandchild anymore and that’s a lot for him to take, I was pleasantly surprised that when someone joked they were going to take Caleb with them, he stepped in and said, “No, my cousin here, put down baba”
So it’s clear he is getting used to the idea…

Even so I made extra effort with him this weekend, because every now and again we all need a little extra attention.

He found a candle and wanted to “make party” I assumed he meant cake so we made play dough cupcakes with coloured rice sprinkles
Then it was Scout’s birthday…yeah! hehe
I made a makeshift fort outside and Aidan decided his whole book collection needed to come in there with him
These guys drive by on bicycles selling ice-cream, he actually asked for one and ate it!!!
We did some crafting, he wanted to build a snowman I don’t know how to build  a snowman
He was a little chesty so I made eucalyptus scented rice for him to play with .
He has ongoing chest problems so it’s nice to get a homeopathic remedy
Outside breakfast…funtimes
