Wors and mash was a staple growing up and also in my early married life… Here is how to make it without the meat.

- Fry’s braai style sausages
- Potatoes
- Can of chopped and peeled tomatoes
- Baked beans
- Mushrooms
What I made
Wors and mash
Additional ingredients
- Chopped garlic
- Red onion
- Bell peppers
- Fresh coriander
- Soy sauce
- Butter
- Cream
What we did
- Mash
- Boil potatoes until soft
- Add butter and cream(depends on your preference but a big table spoon of butter and a 1/4 cup of cream usually works)
- Mash and season with salt pepper and parsley
- Sausage in sauce
- Fry chopped garlic, onions and peppers in a little oil
- Add slice sausages
- Add a splash of soy sauce for flavour
- Add tin of tomatoes and cook through
– serve and enjoy
