My weekend in pictures

Another long weekend is behind us, what did you get up to?
I worked today, but made it a half day so I could participate in what makes public holidays great -shopping and late lunches 🙂 I’m currently watching 90s comedies(fresh prince and mr cooper) while having some yummy woolies doughnuts

Here is my weekend in pics

Had a sushi lunch today at the best sushi place ever!!!, Fushin in Richmond Hill, Yum yum

We had a date night on Saturday, ice-cream and movies. Watched Arthur starring Russel Brandt which was great, well I thought it was. Katie Perry’s man sure is funny.

Did some shopping this weekend and for me shopping almost always includes checking in at book shop and look what I found, hehe

And we finally started redecorating the bathroom, love the mirror rob got it for me to match my baskets, and yes we have that many lotions and potions think we’re toiletry hoarders.

What I wore

What are you wearing today?

I’m wearing…
– little black dress (birthday gift from Sal)
– denim waist coat (gift from anotha friend, moena)
– grey jazz shoes
– little black bag (also a gift, I have the best friends)

-yes I got my hair cut again, I just can’t help myself

At salon, look I have so much hair they are tag teaming like I’m a celeb, hehe

— have a good Saturday

My Artistic friends – Justin Main

oooh very excited about a new monthly feature I want to do on the blog showcasing all the artistic people in my life.
I realised the other day that I know a whole lot of arty people (birds of a feather and all that) and that I should share some of their work, so I figured I’d get them to send me 5 pics of their work and answer 5 questions and then I share with you, easy peasy (I’m only doing this once a month because it always takes arty people some time to get their ducks in a row and also I might not have as many friends as I thought, hehe 🙂

Today’s Artistic Friend is Justin Main, a really cool graphic designer who also happens to be one mean musician and a good friend (also dating one of the coolest girls I know, Lisa).

And there goes the bathroom…

So my bathroom is clearly jealous of the decor ideas and projects happening in the rest of our place and decided to involve itself. We had these glass shelves above the toilet in our rather cramped bathroom and yesterday without warning (not without cause-I tend to overstack shelves) the top shelf fell down onto the the lower shelf and there was just glass and toiletries everywhere including in the toilet. (Both Rob and I have more toiletries than an average couple really need, mostly gift sets we never get around to using) Well it was just bottles and jars everywhere and I’m still trying to locate a pair of earrings and my dental floss-amongst other things. Anyway now we have no choice but to look into new storage solutions for our bathroom here are some ideas I found online… (Pity I did not take a picture of the damage yesterday, but was way to shocked and exhausted and cold!, people it’s cold around here)

I really like this everything is just so nice and streamlined and it has wheels so you can push it around, not that there is much pushing around room in the bathroom

I guess this could work, but I don’t think my biggest problem at the moment is where to put every roll of toilet paper I can find so maybe not

Space wise this is my best option but somehow having my toilet in a little box like that makes me feel awkward

This one is stunning and I’m willing to bet it comes with a price tag which will make me quickly rethink my decision

I actually saw something like this but the goodnews fairy (in this instance, Rob) doesn’t think we really have room, I know he is right as our bathroom seems to have been modelled on one on a train, but a girl can dream right
This is prob the most practical if we can’t find a medicine cabinet we both like, not too fancy and it will force me to stop hoarding things. (we can hope)

Have a good Thurday all :)

Yum yum: baked omelette

Shocking as it may sound, I love cooking, really I do 😉 . Rob and I love adapting recipes and trying out new things and as "newly weds" we've learnt to cook cheap. lotsa ppl like cooking cheap so I thought hey I should share some recipes, here is today's… Baked omellete, yum!!!

Ingredients
– mixed peppers ( I buy mc cain frozen pack and can just take some out wheneva)
– 8 eggs (protein overload)
– 4 country sausages (enterprise-nt big on processed meat, but this is yum)
– olive oil
– green onion seasoning (ina paarmans)
– grated cheese

How to:
Fry peppers and cut up sausages in olive oil. Beat eggs with tablespoon of water and onion seasoning then add to pan with sausages, season with salt and pepper (I have himalayan pink salt and pepper combo grinder-very cool) cook until partially done (like a wet scrambled eggs), cover in cheese and stick in preheated oven for ten to 15 minutes, it gets big and fluffy and yummy

Enjoy
-feel free to ask if my recipe is confusing
