Pre bday

This year I decided not to do a party for my birthday (this sunday) except for a great lunch with friends and drinks yesterday + cool gifts -yeah me!-I decided to become 26 in a very chilled way (not that I normally do big parties, usually I just keep reminding people about my birthday and then don't really celebrate) anyway Robin decided that if I'm not going to do anything big he's going to make my whole weekend special (totally sweet).
So this morning's "special" breakfast was take-away sushi and a chai smoothie.
YEAH ME,AGAIN!

Have a good Saturday all

The Sal

Sooo every Friday I load these great fashion collages brought to you by my good friend Sal (Salama Davids-Bhana). She takes all her favs and compiles it into stunning drool worthy pictures.
Sal is a PA  from 9 to 5 and fashionista all the time. We didn’t hit it off straight away because when mutual friend Mo (Ma-aasha) introduced us, she found me annoying and fake and laughed when I fell down the stairs at her house (I’m a giant cluts and because I can be quite shy people tend to think I’m uppity) and I thought she was a big meanie and way too fashion forward not to be intimidating.
With time we got to know each other and found out we have loads in common, also our husbands really hit it off so we stuck with each other, only this time around we don’t mind so much 🙂

Anyway here she is, THE SAL

Fashion Friday

I usually love Sal’s stuff, but today I’m such a fan I’m thinking of changing how I dress and adopting these girls’ look. Seriously it’s speaking to me and saying a mixture of , “you know you want to” and “hide your wallet now”.
Have a great Friday all

Heres hoping

Some days are just sucky,
they can’t help themselves

I woke up feeling really sad today, It’s not uncommon for me to have a sad day (chemical imbalance, they tell me while trying to get me to take meds), but usually I’m on top of the situation.
Not so much this morning. My mood seems to be mirroring the weather all doom and gloom, which sucks because mostly things are going well in Elleville.
I hate being like this! it annoys me because I can’t stand being a downer and I’m starting to sound like Eeyore from Winnie  the Pooh.
“When stuck in the river, it is best to dive and swim to the bank yourself before someone drops a large stone on your chest in an attempt to hoosh you there,” Eeyore

So today I’m going to try and see that silver lining around the dark cloud (and not be sad it’s not gold).
I’m still pretty down at the moment, think I’ll grab a chocolate and take the “fake it till you feel it” approach

Have a great day – that way I can live vicariously

All that glitters

I’m still busy with the home redecoration and decided to go for a bit of a gold and silver look in the lounge. Take a look at my inspiration: Will show my take on it soon 🙂

Ask Hein

Here are the latest queries for Hein to clarify 🙂

Befuddles asks:My wife and I have constant arguments and frankly Im getting tired of the fighting, how do I win?
Hein:
Haha well in my experience there will always be arguments thou its not about winning or losing but more if u grow from it.
Having said that I would also like to add that, from experience, men argue; women win!

Phil Losofer asks:Is it true that we think therefore we are?
Hein:
I dont think so coz with my short attention span I should have evaporated out of existance a long time ago.

Limbless wants to know:If time heals all wounds how long does it take to regrow an amputated limb?
Hein:
Approximately 425years, give or take a decade…if you dont believe me then you wait and see.

Ann Gree asks:How does one properly get rid of blood stains on carpets, beds, curtains and car upholstry ?
Hein:
Lady sounds to me the blood stains are the very least of your problems.
