Skin care tips that won’t break the bank

Just came here to share some skin care tips with you. Since I’m known for being frugal when it comes to money, lazy when it comes to makeup and very natural when it comes to skin care routines.

I love doing the bare minimum when it comes to skincare and staying away from additional chemicals so these tips from Sela are a big win in my book.

Sela produces a skin care tea with Penny wort, which has been specially formulated to support skin health. Penny wort is traditionally used to improve acne scarring, assist with clearing acne and pimples, help with skin inflammation and irritation.

This is going to become part of my daily skin care regime along with the following tips from Sela:

  • Avoid popping pimples.

Although tempting this can lead to scaring and infections

  • Wash your face regularly

It’s also very important to never sleep with makeup on, no matter how tired you are

  • Moisturize.

When your skin is dry and irritated, it actually causes breakouts and acne. By moisturizing your skin, you can reduce your chances of any skin problems arising.

  • Always wear sunscreen.

With repeated sun exposure and no protection, you could see increased sunspots and skin damage. Sunburn can also increase the risk of developing skin cancer. A sunburn typically takes a few days or longer to heal, so it’s critical to always wear sunscreen, even on cooler, cloudy days

  • Focus on gentle products.

Stay away from products with alcohol, fragrances and harsh chemicals… Less is often more

  • Use skin masks

While face masks won’t erase all your bad skin care habits after just one use, they can provide an extra boost to your routine.

  • Stay hydrated

If your skin is not getting the sufficient amount of water, the lack of hydration will present itself by turning your skin dry, tight and flaky. Dry skin has less resilience and is more prone to wrinkling.
