My morning boost – Nutella, banana smoothie

With the days getting hotter oats is just not cutting it as breakfast food so in comes the smoothie, in about five minutes each morning I whip one up with only four everyday ingredients and I get a large dose of calcium, potassium and a whole lot of yum 🙂

MY RECIPE…

You need:
– 1 large or two small frozen bananas (cut them up before you freeze them, it makes things sooo much easier)
– a table spoon of nutella (the spoon you are likely to put in your mouth does not count)
– a drizzle of honey (yes that is not an accurate measurement)
– a cup of milk (you might want to ad more if you prefer a thinner consistency)

You do:
Add all ingredients to a small jug, stick in your hand blender and that’s it 🙂
the frozen bananas have an ice-cream like consistency when blended so no thickeners like yogurt needed

ENJOY 🙂

It comes out to around 300cals which is not exactly a diet drink but it’s yummy and you can afford extra calories in the morning

yummy in my tummy

I recently developed a slight (huge) obsession with brownies, seriously LOVE THEM, unfortunately my new found love comes around the same time I realise that dairy does NOT and I repeat NOT agree with me 🙁
I was browsing the net in hopes of finding some chocolaty deliciousness that wouldn’t make me sick from dairy (from over eating maybe) and came across this on all recipes.com can’t wait to try them out, the reviews were great: (I’d add nuts though, nom nom nom)

I prefer food thanx

So the detox went belly up and we are back to eating like normal people, decided to break the fast (even if it was just two days) in style with some yummy food at St Elmo’s

We decided we like food too much so now instead of curbing our enthusiasm and doing the eat less thing we gonna try the  exercise more thing

Rob hates me taking pics of him, that is why he is always looking away – I need to catch him off guard
Look I caught myself off guard-hehehe

We don’t play with food, hehe

So what’s your winter breakfast choice?

I love caramel oats, the instant kind, yum yum or soft boiled eggs and toast soldiers, on a cold day YUM YUM what do you have?

I know it looks like gruel (please sir may I have some more)

If you were wondering, I had to give up detox partly because I can’t seem to shake this cold and Rob has a ear infection and partly because I’M SOOOOOOOOOOO OVER that! lol

Yum yum: healthyish snack

I don't know what to call this really, apart from yum! Got idea from my friend jem who writes www.sparklingjem.blogspot.com she's constantly feeding me and I tried this at home oooh yummy.

Ingredients:

– avo
– cherry tomatoes (any tomatoes work, but I had from salad)
-feta cheese
-salt and pepper to taste

How to:
Spread avo on bread, cut up tomato and crumble feta on top, stick in oven for bit to melt feta. (The feta doesn't really melt much but just need it warmed up)
