I once met a lady with wings

I did hey she walked in a business suit and a pair of fairy wings and introduced herself as a fairy godmother, turns out she is a ex all out career type who had a bit of a break down and then gave up the rat race to make other peoples dreams come true. Then there was the woman who was partially paralyzed in an accident as a young woman, fought her way back to health, learnt to speak write and walk all from scratch and ended up working with disabled people, showing them they can do anything they put their minds too, now she’s retired and works with the less fortunate. Then there was this woman who had a massive brain tumor, most people had given up on her recuperating, but she did and went on to paint some of the most beautiful paintings I have ever seen and write a very successful book. Then there was the man who had advanced stage cancer, he was given weeks to live, but he wasn’t ready to give up his wife and family –  that was a year ago.

I met all these people through my job as a reporter, there are tons more, but I just can’t remember them all right now. All these people who have beaten the odds, gone just that one step further than expected and gave back in amazing ways.
I hope I can be like one of those people, one day. Not just living life and no longer basing what I have on my bank balance or what the Jones’s have,  but really living! using what I have and what talents I have been given to make a difference, no matter how small 🙂
That’s my almost end of the year resolution, LIVE THE LIFE YOU HAVE NOW, IT COULD BE TAKEN AWAY AT ANY SECOND AND IMAGINE HOW SAD YOU’D BE IF YOU REALISE YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A ONE DAY THAT MIGHT NEVER COME

So far so sucky!

Ever since I was a little girl I have been a little intense , hehe, slightly dramatic and prone to stressing.
So it made sense that when I fell pregnant (fell, hahaha as in oh no I slipped and now I’m “with child”) people have been on my case not to stress, which I must say is causing even more stress.
and life is obviously out to get me to stress, work alone has sent me into panic mode four times last week because more than once I find myself feeling like “IM SURROUNDED BY CRAZY PEOPLE” seriously.
This week I vowed to be in a more relaxed state, then yesterday the brakes on my car failed and Rob went hurdling into oncoming traffic and bright and early this morn I crashed his car,  even worse, our lil niece Kameron has been booked into hospital.
NOT A GOOD START 🙁

I need help!

Our place is starting to look like its auditioning for one of those hoarder reality shows, SERIOUSLY and I cant take the mess!!!
This is the problem: Too much junk too little space!
Our clothes have actually spilled over from the cupboards into laundry baskets in the spare room and the couch in the bedroom.
Most of the cupboards cant be opened without some serious planning ahead incase you have an avalange on your hands. Then there is the kitchen where storage space has become even more of a problem!!!!
It always seems to look like you just finished cooking a three course meal for five, because there is not much space to pack things, don’t get me wrong we have a decent sized place we just have no where to put things.
The most annoying part is that it feels like you are constantly tidying up!!!! All the damn time!!! and I don’t like that thank you very much!
So now I’m on the hunt for storage solutions, seriously don’t want child welfare on my case before baby is even born!
I’m loving this, and it could sooo work in the bedroom (theinspirationroom.com)

Robs not a fan of this look, but I’m thinking it could seriously work as a place to put all the clothes that do not fit my new voluptuousness (might need five)

I think this is stunning but quite honestly I am just not neat enough to have people stare into my cupboards (homestars.com)

This is soooooooo stunning but I’m thinking not that financially viable (the kitchenstop.co.uk)

I’m loving this as a place to put all those blankets I cant seem to find a place for but then again I’d have to find a place for this (construct101.com)
Seems this is going to be costly! maybe I should just get rid of my clothes , hahaha – NOT GONNA HAPPEN

We are having a baby!!!

It’s so weird to say the words, I’m pregnant, but hey that’s what I am, in less than 30weeks I am going to be some1s mom!
We have known for a while now, but didn’t want to say anything untill we got the all clear from the Dr, and now that the doctor is very happy, so are we.
Being prego does have it’s downsides though, I seem to have turned into a baby myself, I sleep, pee and eat, then sleep again,I’m also really cranky.
SEE: LIKE A BABY!!!!

I’m also getting sooo huge, I nearly died when I was weighed at 8 weeks and I had gained like 5kgs, YOH YOH!
The doctor tells me not to worry some people gain early and shorter ppl tend to show earlier, yeah me!!!

But all in all we are really happy—will keep you informed *smiley face*

Kids say the darnest things

Hanging out with my nieces the other day reminded me of some funny  things they say which you just HAVE to laugh at:
# One day when Rob and I took Taylor out for a meal, her mom teased her before we left and told her to remember to bring her a doggie bag, this was all good and well untill the waitress  asked us for our order and she  loudy proclaimed she wants a doggie for mommy — AWKWARD
# Awkward like  when Kameron and I were in line for a ride at the fair and she loudly asked why the lady behind me stole her aunts top, I had to smile and explain that Kammy’s uncle’s gf had the same top.
# Then there was the time Kirsten ran to close the door in my brothers face (she doesn’t like him much)  and then said byebye, even though he just got there.
# There was also the time when my cousin Janice (5 now, 3 then) asked quite loudly at a  kiddies play I was reviewing why everyone on stage was boring, “they are all boring, I don’t like this, lets go”
# I see Taylor more than I do the others and she always has something to say like, she doesn’t like onions because they make her ma (grand mother) cry, that milk comes from under a cow and that twelve teen comes before thirteen
