Fashion Friday, for when the sun comes out
Hair it is
So I'm home today, the flu finally won and K.O'd me, I'm not a fan!
But while in bed (fold out couch) still in my pj's, watching tv (when flu meds don't make me pass out every few minutes) I'v decided to look into what exactly I want from my "natural" hair, here's what I'm thinking: (what you guys think?)
Breaking news in elle land
No need to stop the presses, nothing uber exciting or world changing is happening,but every now and again I like to give an update on how things are in my little piece of the world (you know the piece that I’m told doesn’t revolve around me-but I’m sure it does)
— Iv been nominated for a bay style award which is flattering/surprising/nerve wrecking (its this new award thing in NMB where I live where they highlighting stylish brands,places and ppl, apparently I’m a stylish ppl)
— Because of award nomination I’m in big pic in big local newspaper today (spurred on by fact that I work for said paper) giant pics of myself scare me (prob because I have been known to giggle at unflattering pics of other people and I find big pics unflattering, poetic justice)
— My eyes hurt, yesterday I woke up with one red swollen eye (think hunch back,oooh not pretty) so this morning my eye looks better, but nw its both eyes slightly red, to match my nose I’m guessing (did I mention being sick sucks)
— today is going to be a hectic day (wednesdays always are) DEADLINE DEADLINE don’t you hate the sound it makes as it wooshes past (also a bunch of people at the office are off sick, many are on sick too – it’s a health violation I’m telling you,lol)
— hmmmm that’s all I have to declare for now oh and that I was momentarily jealous that Robs blog has same grading as mine but he only started last week, I’m over it now (pouted for a bit – but actually I like his blog) you can check out my “competition” at http://www.the-rookiehero.blogspot.com/

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own? 112! It’s a bit insane but most are my mothers since she kept all of hers and we’re the same size.
3. Why do you think a great pair of shoes has such an effect on women? My friend once told me sometimes if she’s feeling down about herself or is having a “fat day” she buys shoes because shoes will always fit. I thought that was quite charming, shoes really do make women feel beautiful. I love how heels make you stand tall and confident plus it’s always fun to create an outfit based on your shoes!
4. Which shoe are you still searching for? A simple, classic black pair of Louboutin heels. I tried this wild nude and glitter strappy pair on once and the fit is so perfect! I think it’s because they come in half-sizes.
5. Which shoe can’t you believe you actually wore: I wore those terrible huge sneakers with wheels built in when I was younger.

So today I feel like death, seriously uncool people!!! I feel like those ads, where the guy screams “headache, pain, fever….”
But because I have so much to get through today, I can’t dwell on feeling like I’ve been scraped off a giants foot and am going for happy thoughts . . .
Namely two of my “lil angels” who I got to hang out with this weekend: Kammy and Tay

| Friday after work we hung out with Rob’s brother’s baby, Kameron, she’s the cutest/busiest little thing, love her to bits. I think she forgets she’s still months away from her third birthday because she acts way older, too cute. |

| On Saturday I hung out with Taylor, she’s the funniest 2 year old I know, she is also a fashionista who notices things like the handbag on a mannequin, I kid you not. |
