I am currently in soooo much pain it’s not even funny, i feel like I’d like to stick my head into a tub of cold water, yogurt anything cool šŸ™
Had a family day yesterday which meant swimming and spending time in the sun. I went covered in a kaftan, wearing a hat and sunscreen, and when I got home I was feeling fine, nothing wrong with me, I even lectured my sunburnt sister on the importance of wearing sunblock, then I woke up this morning looking like my face was auditioning to be rudolf’s nose, everything (esp. my lips) are red, sore and swollen! and I’m quite ready to cry actually. OUCH!
I tried covering up with make-up, but it’s not really working as you can see…

not my finest hour

Yesterday while walking to the train from work (not recommended in a short skirt, cos the pervy guys will make you  feel like you’re in an episode of the bachelorette “train edition”) I was looking at the art on the walls of the train station and thinking how beatiful the pictures are (didn’t have my camera with me, darnit)  I then saw that if you looked closer the pictures actually had all these tarnishes on it like paint droplets from renovations  and scratches from goodness knows what, I realised that even with time taking its toll the paintings were still beautiful and I wouldn’t even recommend fixing it.  So as I get to the last painting I see the date stamp  says  the paintings are just as old as I am, created in the same year I was born…sentimental moment…This got me thinking about how my life has changed, how I have changed as a person over the years, how I myself have been tarnished, damaged, broken in places, but am proud to say have survived with the same spirit if not better šŸ™‚
That’s my soppy moment for the week  just a note to say, embrace the darkness as it makes you appreciate the light

10 things about me today. . .

1. I really want my hair to look like it did in this picture šŸ™ I miss my curls. (pic taken at my friend Carmen’s birthday party last year)
2. I’m starting to feel embarrassed of the number of photos of me being tagged on fb which involve alcohol.
3. I used to party allot it seems.
4. I don’t regret that part of my life, but don’t really miss it either.
5. I’m getting old.
6. I’m having a bad hair day and no amount of hair clips (eight and counting) or chocolate scented hair dough (Robin’s super strength hair product – he didn’t know it was chocolaty when he bought it -ha ha) is gonna hide that.
7. I know that today at work is going to be hectic, yesterday’s power failure saw to that.
8. I’m getting annoyed at all these active dreams I’ve been having, I wake up even more tired than when I went to bed-that sucks.
9. I’m not hungry quite as often anymore šŸ™‚ I can get away with eating every 20min now šŸ™
10. Did I mention I miss the big bush of curls I used to have? well I do.

Hair today gone tomorrow…

So last night I had this freaky dream, I had my hair long again, this really cute shoulder length bob with straight bangs, but when I combed it, it felt rather crappy (like it actually feels right now, havent brushed it in a while-u cant with curly hair) and then my hair fell out first just strands then loads of it, chunks of hair really, but hair wasnt looking thinner, I actually stuck the giant piece of hair in my bag.

HOW WEIRD IS THAT!!!

I’ve been searching the net for dream interpretations and found this

“To dream about losing your hair is to dream about losing your youth, your vitality, your strength. You worry that something beyond your control is harming you, not allowing you to be the best you could be.”

This kinda makes sense as recently I have been thinking OMW IM GETTING OLD, seriously I keep thinking ” OH CRAP IM AN ACTUAL GROWN UP NOW”

I also found

“Hair is a power symbol as the Biblical Samson will testify. Therefore, when hair falls out in dreams, it symbolizes a loss of power, a feeling that energy is being siphoned away. Additionally, the same helpless feeling is experienced in waking life when baldness begins; this helplessness can be reflected in dreams.
However, hair dreams often represent a situation that is beyond one’s control. The hair loss dream is typically a manifestation of a stressful situation, one that makes the dreamer feel like she is “pulling out” her hair.”

I dont know hey, this could be the new job maybe I’m unconsiously overwhelmed, hmm who knows.

On the other hand, I believe that dreams have a message and that those messages are really best explained by the person dreaming it, cos it’s their own sub concious talking, taking this into consideration I recon my hair dream was prob really simple; I’m currently not a fan of my hair, it’s cut a little to short for me to handle and the dream was most prob just me being freaked out by not knowing what I must do with it now (doesnt curl like I’d like it to)  and the whole bob thing is prob how I’m wishing it looked again.

Ag who knows, recon I just think too much, even in my dreams.
