So why do I have 10 African children’s books in the first place, well, firstly I am African, and secondly I won an awesome prize earlier this year. A Read Aloud Magic Box set aimed at encouraging reading aloud in the home and in the classroom. Our set is for kids aged between 4 and 7 and included 12 beautifully designed books filled with adventure-filled stories set in Africa.
These African children’s books are available for purchase separately and I simply had to share our favourites…
I suffer from depression and anxiety and today I have a social hangover… It’s a thing, Google it. It’s the exhaustion, the dehydration, the lack of energy that comes from a night of binge drinking, only you didn’t drink you just spent too much time socializing.
My reluctance to get out of bed prompted this blog post because I realise how crazy it might seem to someone who does not quite get it.
The whole family used Organics products for the month and let’s just say some products impressed way more than others.
When Beauty Bulletin asked me to join in the #TheOrganicsLife experiment and have the whole family only use Organics products for a month I was keen (yes partially because I wouldn’t have to buy hair products for the month, have you seen the amount of hair we are working with?) but also because flip I love a challenge… So we put the products to the test and this is what we found
So why am I telling you that I disagree with my friend’s parenting decisions? Is it that I am hoping my friend reads this and that she will see my disapproval? Nah it’s not that. I mean, obviously, I don’t hide parenting style clashes, how could I with a blog I update at least three times a week? I was just thinking that it is perfectly fine to disagree with my friend’s parenting decisions and still be friends, and dare I say it myself…more people need to do that.
Also when I say friend I mean friends…I disagree with quite a few…
Do you make popcorn in a brown paper bag? It’s the norm over here to such an extent that I’ve taught my 5-year-old to do it. I know he is “a baby”, but I’ve been teaching him to be self-sufficient since he was an actual baby… Why stop now.
