Typing this in car while watching Rob fight off our 9th home invasion of ants in about 6 weeks, this could be the worse one yet! I never think to take pics until its too late and they have scurried off in every which way(so pics dnt show full effect)…but take my word for it, tiny black ants carrying their young into your house from every possible opening, is not a pleasure!!! In fact its disgusting and leaves you feeling gross! Rob is actually considering moving out because they are just THAT relentless š
He is currently spraying them (and has sent me out to get out of the way of the fumes) but like the myth with grey hair…every time he gets one, two pop up in its place…
My investigation (spurred on by a picnic with my 2-year-old niece who then asked me to help her follow them so we can see where ants come from) has me thinking they are in the ceiling…. I have these visions of the inside of our ceiling pitch black and positively vibrating with these little critters…BLEUGH!!!
Ants are currently marching a thousand by a thousand AND IM DONE WITH THEM!
Any ideas apart from ripping the house apart brick by brick (Rob is about 5min from doing that) we have fumigated, tried traps and even baby powder(which has been most successful so far…) But they won't go…HELP!

I have 19 days left at work, and that is counting today š much like the wait to D day it feels both , really soon and really far⦠Iām at the āuncomfortable phaseā of pregnancy where you only sleep long enough to have a weird dreamā¦so I for one would not mind a little trip into the future I know I still wont have time to sleep, but at least I will feel less blimp likeā¦also Iām just REALLY excited to meet our little boy.
Speaking ofā¦We finally decided on a theme for the baby room. Up to now Iāve just been making neutral things in the hopes that a ālookā would jump out at me and guess what, it has š We going NAUTICAL
Over the next few weeks (We have 9 weeks till he is here, but Iām getting really big and uncomfortable so things need to be done way before then) my mom and I (Rob doing heavy lifting) will be fixing up the baby room which for now looks like the Rugrats are having a garage saleā¦
Iām so lucky to have a mom who is really into decor and who can sew WELL š

SLEEP, WHEREFORE ART THOU!
A GIANT THANK YOU
keeping the faith in the storm
I come from one of those families where each one of your aunts has been a mother to you in one way or another… I have always been close to one of my aunts in particular, my dads oldest sister and my Godmother. She has always been wise beyond her years and one of the most spiritual people you will ever meet. She totally indulged my need for reading everything I could get my hands on and had the best collection of old magazines EVER!!! And since she never had children of her own, she understands our battle with bringing our own into the world oh too well…Why am I bringing this up? Well she’s battling serious health problems at the moment and my head and heart are in competition to see which 1 is more screwed up. The news came on the eve of Rob’s dad’s funeral and needless to say we are back to that old familiar helpless feeling experienced with Logan, Mso, Kayla, Robs Dad, Mechelle’s hubby (all this year)… The “why can’t I fix this” feeling! The “why can’t I make it ok” feeling! The “God reveal your plan Please” feeling! The difference between the loved ones mentioned before and my aunt is that while we mourn for them we can still pray and hope for her, I’m determined to keep the faith…even though my faith is like a pencil sharpened all the way to the eraser I’m barely holding on to the little eraser part, but I’m still holding on…I love her far too much to let go… Like my good friend Sal says “THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE” I’ve taken off a week from work and “life” to just get my mind right and to help out where I can… This means I will only be back on blogesphere next week…I’m on break all over you see š -You can’t change the direction of the wind, you can only adjust your sails
A personality quiz that’s pretty spot on
Like most people I have found myself aimlessly searching the Internet for something interesting to do (lets be honest that’s how half of you found this blog) Well the other day I came across a personality quiz: http://www.blogthings.com/whatsyourpersonalitytypequiz/
The Inspirer
You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends.
You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority.
Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives.
You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You’re quite the storyteller!
In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart.
You often don’t follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. You break a lot of hearts.
At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do.
You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist.
How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding
When other people don’t get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused
I was impressed at how they got that from just a handful of multiple choice questions (not even technically multiple as you just get two answers to choice from) so I thought I’d get Robin to answer the questions and see what it came up with, apparently Rob is:
You have a strong need to belong, and you very loyal.
A good listener, you excel at helping others in practical ways.
In your spare time, you enjoy engaging your senses through art, cooking, and music.
You find it easy to be devoted to one person… a partner who you do special things for.
In love, you express your emotions through actions.
Taking care of someone is how you love them. And you do it well!
At work, you do well in a structured environment. You complete tasks well and on time.
You would make a good interior designer, chef, or child psychologist.
How you see yourself: Competent, dependable, and detail oriented
When other people don’t get you, they see you as: Boring, dominant, and stuck in a rut
