If you have ever woken up in a pee covered bed, just to be told by the offending person to make them some breakfast you are one of two things;  a heck of a party girl or a mom to a toddler, with a leaky nappy, who likes to jump into your bed at every opportunity.

I’m the latter, so was pretty chuffed when Pampers sent me a pack of their new Pampers Pants to try out on Super Aidy (which is how he would like to be addressed at the moment).

Super Aidy so stwong

Super Aidy’s first response to the pull up nappy was:  is this a underpants or a nappy? is it nappy underpants? nappy pants? what is this? (very cheeky this kid, also , he talks now)

What is this?

The new nappy is said to have great new features: my opinion in blue
•New unisex design that is easy to use (pull up rip off, so yes)
 • Extra Sleep-Layer: absorbs wetness and distributes it evenly across the core for up to 12 hours of dryness. (compared to what we are used to, WIN)
 • 2 Dry-zones: Pampers Pants have a unique acquisition system consisting of 2 layers (okay sure)
 • All-around fit: stretchy waistband and leg cuffs adapt to baby shapes and movements for a perfect fit in all positions. (Honestly apart from the newborn range which I really love, I wasn’t always a fan  of  Pampers because I didn’t like the fit, but this is soooo much better)
• Less bulky design: enabling anatomical fit and allowing maximum freedom of movement. (jip, no more looking like you have a wet nappy even if you were just changed, see above)
• Breathable: Micropores enable vapor to travel from inside to outside of the diaper to help your baby stay dry. (not sure how to test this)

Aidan is the ultimate test for nappies as he loves liquids  actually most of his meals are liquids, in fact he just had a veggie juice and some of my smoothie.
Lots of liquids in means lots of liquids out (I did bio at school can you tell?) It was becoming so bad around these parts that I had to wake up and change him in the middle of the night to avoid accidents.
Out of week we have tried these nappies we only woke up with a wet pajama pants once, this might not sound all that impressive but believe me it is, this kid is a hosepipe!

I love that he can pull it up himself which is great as he wants to do everything himself these days, also, we are in the midst of potty training season and we can use all the help we can get. Even though he often asks to use the toilet it’s not going too great…

I do self…

This is what my cheeky 2-year-old has to say about potty training:
– It’s okay mommy you can use the toilet, I pee here (points at nappy)
– Why you don’t just change my bum?
– My poo doesn’t work in a toilet.
–  (after wearing a pair of cotton underpants for a while he runs up to me with a disposable nappy he found) mommy see I found a nappy for you. Now don’t have to wear underpants.
– (loudly at the tills pointing at someone else’s trolley with toilet paper) Look mommy that is to wipe your bum.
– (getting dressed in the morning) No underpants and toilets today hey.
– (loudly at a party) I’m going to poo here *points to nappy* you must change my bum bum so I can go play

I don’t know with this kid, what I do know is that #PampersSA have given me 5 packs of nappies to give away to readers 🙂

So if you are in SA and want to give them a try,  ENTER!!!!
