Tuesdays are Shoesdays: SA FASHIONGIRL :)

I think Sheri Lee of Safashiongirl is awesome (seriously! met her at SAFW and she’s even cooler in real life) so it’s really great that she agreed to take part in Shoes day ๐Ÿ˜€ Here is what she had to say
These are the questions:
1. You are: Sheri Lee, author of Safashiongirl.com
2. How many pairs of shoes do you own? 112! It’s a bit insane but most are my mothers since she kept all of hers and we’re the same size.
3. Why do you think a great pair of shoes has such an effect on women? My friend once told me sometimes if she’s feeling down about herself or is having a “fat day” she buys shoes because shoes will always fit. I thought that was quite charming, shoes really do make women feel beautiful. I love how heels make you stand tall and confident plus it’s always fun to create an outfit based on your shoes!
4. Which shoe are you still searching for? A simple, classic black pair of Louboutin heels. I tried this wild nude and glitter strappy pair on once and the fit is so perfect! I think it’s because they come in half-sizes.
5. Which shoe can’t you believe you actually wore: I wore those terrible huge sneakers with wheels built in when I was younger.

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own? I own 21 pairs of shoesโ€ฆbut only wear about 15 of them regularly. I love comfortable shoes, the rest are for special occasions!
3. Why do you think a great pair of shoes has such an effect on women? Wellโ€ฆwhat else can make your legs look *that* good?
4. Which shoe are you still searching for? Definitely a pair of high heel pumps! I am searching for something a little different, maybe with some bling or sparkle to brighten up the dark colours in my Winter wardrobe. Nothing has quite caught my eye yet.
5. Which shoe can’t you believe you actually wore: I owned a pair of blue (*cringe*)  sneakers in varsity which I thought were extremely cool at the time.

Today I’m featuring one half of the Boguslavsky sisters. The duo blog about fashion and shopping in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth and have both agreed to share their shoe secrets ๐Ÿ˜€
Read on for more on CT based Marianna Boguslavskya and her love of shoes (she’s the one on the right)
1. You are:
Marianna Boguslavsky. Online marketing consultant and owner of MB Consultancy (http://www.mbconsultancy.co.za). Also run a dual city fashion blog with my sister.

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
About 20…wish it was way more than that!
3. Why do you think a great pair of shoes has such an effect on women?
The right pair of shoes can make or break any outfit. A stunning/fancy pair of shoes can also be the perfect way to jazz up an outfit…you might be wearing jeans and a casual top but pair it with heels and voila,…you are ready to party! Sexy shoes (especially sexy boots) can be a confidence booster…you look good and you feel great.
4. Which shoe are you still searching for?
I would have to say flat boots…I own an amazing Dorothy Perkins pair of boots that I bought in London but I have not seen another one that i would love here in SA.
5. Which shoe can’t you believe you actually wore
Erm, my spice girls shoes in high school…the shame!!!

Tuesdays are Shoes days :Tracy’s Shoes :)

– Today’s shoesday features my friend and fellow blogger Tracy Hancock, she’s a great chick who is slightly off centre (that’s how I like my buds) and this is all about her shoes
1. You are:
I am a food- and fashion-loving 20 something that moved from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg to broaden my horizon, over a year ago. I am also the creator of a tiny blog called ForgettingNeverland.

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Um, haha, probably not as many as my friend Ella ๐Ÿ˜‰ About 15 pairs, but I don’t wear them all and some should really be thrown away… haha, like my boots. I wear my shoes until there is nothing left of them. Some people talk about shoes that they have had for years… If I like a pair of shoes and they are comfy, I will wear them until I can wear them no more.
3. Why do you think a great pair of shoes has such an effect on women?
The right pair of shoes can change a woman’s mood instantly. If you want to feel sexy, slip into a pair of high heels. It adds height, making you look slimmer, and they make your calves look more toned than they really are. Shoes make or break an outfit. If you are wearing shoes that make you feel confident, it shows.
4. Which shoe are you still searching for?
I am currently searching for a good pair of boots to replace my rapidly deteriorating pair. You can’t live in Joburg and not own boots. It is freezing up here! A Rage just opened in the mall our office tower is in… hmmm walked past there the other day and swooned. Hopefully they have something that will steal my heart, come pay day that is. Broke already ๐Ÿ™
5. Which shoe can’t you believe you actually wore?
Hmmm, that’s tricky because I pride myself on having good taste when it comes to shoes. Let us go back a few years to my primary school days… enter the jelly baby; a plastic healed sandal that came in multiple colours… including a translucent glitter version. Now there was an unflattering shoe. They were chunky and really nothing spectacular to look at. And because they were plastic,  you can imagine how sweaty your feet got and the odour that accompanied that sweat. Haha
Number 1 – Shiny, shiny! What girl doesn’t need some sparkle in her life? I love the drama this shoe commands. Great for a night out.
Number 2 – I got this studded ankle boot on sale. What a bargain! I am obsessed with shoes that make a statement.
Number 3 – My sexy black snake-skin gladiator heels! These babies make me feel hot no matter what, look great on my foot, and they are super comfortable to dance in!
Number 4 – Two-toned 1950’s inspired heels. I have an immediate connection with anything vintage-inspired. They do, however, kill my feet after a while… but pain is beauty!
Number 5 – My new friends. I needed a hot wedge to add to my collection and I simply adore peep-toes. They are cheeky in a good way. ๐Ÿ˜‰
