Fashion Friday Part1/Natalie Creed Part2

After changing jobs to the design/layout side of things I realised that I really missed writing actual articles, then it hit me, whats stopping me? I could always interview people I find facinating  and share the stories with my blog readers, so that’s what I’v decided to do. And to start things off I have interviewed local designer Natalie Creed (pics posted yesterday)

The name Natalie Creed has become pretty well-known in fashion circles especially when it comes to mohair, and now the design diva is spreading her wings with the relaunch of her eponymous label.
After winning a number of awards and traveling the world promoting her BabyMo Creed range, she has become a bit of a force when it comes to natural fibres and with that “title” firmly under her belt Natalie has decided to hone some of her other skills and show fashionistas that her talents go a little further than the mohair synonymous with the Eastern Cape.
“I’m not involved with BabyMo Creed at all anymore, nor am I working with mohair. After a good few years working solely in the medium, I’ve decided to put it aside and explore a wider variety of fabrics and fibres,” says the first ever Fashion Brand award winner at the Bay Style Awards.
Eager for a new challenge Natalie has decided to channel her love of fashion in this new direction and is excited about the prospect.
“It was a big job change and a few other factors that made me decide to relaunch my label. It also just feels like the right time; before I was [text removed] less experienced, I feel like I am ready to do this now and to put everything I have into it,” she says.
Her summer collection is light and breezy and showcases the casual elegance her fans have come to expect.
“I really just take inspiration from everything around me, daily experiences, things I see as I work and travel, and from experimenting with fabrics and techniques,” she said.
Natalie is currently working on orders from her summer collection as well as working on a winter collection that is scheduled for release at the end of the month.
Natalie’s clothes are available through direct order. Photo’s and prices can be found at facebook (click here) and orders should be emailed to info@nataliecreed.com or phone 081 470 1947.  She also has stock at Mememe in Cape Town

Summer times with designer Natalie Creed

One of my favourite local designers, Natalie Creed, has relaunched her eponymous label with some amazing summer designs. I managed to get an interview with  her and will be uploading the story shortly, but for now take a look at the designs that got me excitement in the first place: (pics by Amy Scheepers)

Mom, does this diaper make my butt look big.

Soooo I like fashion and I like kids (in a non Michael Jackson way-yes it’s wrong to make fun of the dead) so it’s to be expected that the two loves would cross at some point.
Growing up I always expected I’d have a little girl to dress up in little dresses, with lavish bows in her hair and a rediculous amount of ballet pumps, but life seems to be going in a completely different direction with all signs predicting IT’S A BOY!
My family knows that growing up the only reason I had dolls was so I could dress them up (non of that tea party and putting to bed nonsense, more like dress up and stand up) So they seem ever so slightly concerned that I have plans of turning Logan into a mini Diva. I don’t have any such plans don’t worry!
I do have plans of getting him cute outfits though, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t!
But nothing outrageous, I’m not one of those moms on Toddlers and Tiaras who try to turn their 3-year-olds into fabulous little adults with fake tans, fake hair, fake teeth, NO SIR
In any case I will prob end up with a son who is like my husband – who would rather not brush his hair or get dressed up without being bribed.
But for now I just like clothes and the pregnancy means every second thort is baby baby baby, That being said. here are some toddler boy’s outfit ideas from around the interweb.

Don’t worry I’m not doing this:
