Here is a bit of a update on the weight loss front, it’s not going too well *sad face* but I feel better in my clothes and like my diet coach says, slow progress is still progress.
Turns out there is a reason for my lethargic metabolism…They found fatty deposits in my liver which is slowing down liver function and making it more difficult to lose weight.
I have lots of water retention, even in my face *really! My face of all things* bloating, pain and fatigue so many a blood test and a scan later, it looks like I have fatty liver disease. The doctor recons the damage could come from childhood jaundice – seeing as my cholesterol is quite low and I’m classed as over weight *sobs into a tissue* not obese and it’s not like I drink much. I’m on meds and will be monitored and am eager for a clean bill of health 🙂 But anyways, fast weight loss isn’t suggested with fatty liver as it can make things worse , but weight loss and a healthy lifestyle is recommended…so this slow and steady pace is actually a good thing you see……
So what if I it will take me longer to reach my goal, I’m up for the challenge. (I say this after just last week I got my diagnosis and had a bit of a binge thinking , well I’m not losing anyway *feeling sorry for myself*) But that feeling sorry for yourself thing is sooo last year, besides I have so many inspirational people in my life it would be an insult to them if I wasn’t positive.
Also I had wanted to be back in shorts by December and that is very doable (I never said what size shorts, mind you, hehehe)
