challenge 9: songs
I love music I really do! but I don’t think I know two songs that stand out above the rest, I like french jazz, pop gospel, some R&B and hip-hop, it’s all about what song speaks to me and when and where my mind is at the time. The only music I can think of that has ALWAYS spoken to me is the Disney classics you know beauty and the beast, snow white, those songs, I remember singing along with my cousins when I was young and dreaming of being a voice over artist one day (yes I was sensible didn’t dream of being a princess, hehe)
Challenge day 8 – Film
I am in no shape or form a film buff, infact, the movies I LOVE are seen as juvenial by most, but thing is. . . I don’t care, I love watching comedies and these are my all time favs . . .

The Russel Brand version, actually rewatched it last night, it’s the perfect mix of sentiment and comedy
Grease
Always been a fan of sing along and Grease is where it all started I can recite this movie start to finish, but must admit some of the phrases only made sense later in life, quite risque for it’s time hey
day 7 all about books
I LOVE LOVE reading but I honestly dont have any books that hold prime space on my book shelf and I suck at remembering authors names, my friends will be all, oooh love the epic work of bladie bladie and I’m like uhm I like funny books (cause I do) and I really like true life drama (because I really do) luckily I should be able to think of atleast four… here goes
1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I reread this classic EVERY YEAR usually Decembers time, I just love the way they speak and interact, never get tired of it
2. Animal Farm
I’m more than aware that this is the type of book given to kids as a school project BUT the symbolism and the links to every day life are so hard too miss, it’s a must read!
3. ANYTHING by Marian Keyes
LOVE, LOVE,LOVE her, soooo witty so touching so many things
4. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Another must re-read classic . . .
Day 6 – food list. . .
Although I’ve been a little green around the gills lately, I still appreciate good food, always have, here are my top 5 (in come to mind order) I am even including pics because I’m THAT into food . . .
1. Sushi
My first sushi experience was a drunken one where I accidentally stuffed my mouth with ginger and wasabi,bleugh bleugh, in the words of my niece Kirsten “take the kaka out my mouth mommy” but every experience since then has been pure bliss 🙂 esp at Fushin where they do sushi RIGHT!

2. Steers Prince Burger
This one is slightly more pedestrian, but a firm favourite for those days when you are like, “who cares about ever fitting into my favourite jeans again” . . .

3. Roti’s
I don’t really have the stomach for spicy food, but give me a mild (mince/chicken) roti and I’m happy for days 🙂 or at least until I’m hungry again 😉

4. Oven baked chips/wedges
I have a carb addiction that will prob land me on a reality show someday. . . but I try to tone it down by not using too much oil and so on, that’s were the oven baked variety comes in, all the yum with less of the guilt

5. Chocolate
Because I would be lying about myself as a person if I didn’t include chocolate, ohhhh I love me some chocolate 🙂 I’m a big fan of dark varieties and those smothering a good piece of nougat , actually it would be pretty tough to find chocolate I didn’t like. . .

Day 5 (6 places I want to go)
I don’t really have a list of must visit places, but I’ll try…..
1. Jamaica, I’ve always wanted to go there, no clue why really … I usually braid my hair for travelling because it’s sooo much easier to handle, I don’t have to worry about as much as a brush, but don’t think I’d do that if I were to go to Jamaica, I feel like it’d look like those people who come to South Africa with safari suites, like I’m trying to fit in a bit too much.
2. Brazil, I’ve been there before when I lucked out and the Sao Paulo Fashion community liked my fashion writing and invited me over for all expense paid fashion week (best time EVER!) want to go back with Rob though.
3. New York, because I want to have a sex in the city weekend in the place sex in the city was filmed.
4. Greece, Rob and I are into Greek mythology so it’ll be great to see where it all started.
5. Hawaii, because who doesn’t want to go to Hawaii
6. Paris, because IT’S PARIS!!!!!!!!!
