Lil angels: Tay

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with my 2-year-old “niece” Taylor the cutest little thing with the wildest imagination-she actually acts like she cant see, hear or speak if you “take” her eyes/ears/mouth and will continue the game until you give it back and she “replaces it” (surprised her mom let her hang out with Rob and I  again after we accidentally gave her too much sugar and had her running through the supermarket like a defective wind up toy calling out the names of random products). She is one of my five little angels (along with Kameron, Kirsten, Janice and Zoey) and can always cheer me up. So yesterday after she accused me of being the worst imaginary tennis player (I kept missing this ball that doesn’t exist) she comes up to me with one of the little denim gingerbread dolls I made her (yes I’m THAT nerdy) telling me “look the boy cant see” and when I asked her why not, she sweetly replied, “his eyes are in my mouth” so after making her spit them out and promise not to abuse the doll again I fixed it while she went around asking what every little thing in my room was. Rob then comes in and banging his head he says “fucken door” which was fine until Tay sweetly asks, “Fucken what?” we had our work cut out for us to try and divert that one (we might be off the baby sitting list again) but anyway she’s too cute even when she comes to you and says, “My bum is wet, change me” (she is potty trained, but wears diapers at night).
but hey I really love kids specially the kind who go back to mom when you are done playing 😉

Oh baby baby

After two years of marriage I am constantly being asked when we planning on having a baby and told that I should do it asap – I wonder if people would be so eager if they knew I have never had a pet, killed two house plants in four months (one was a cactus) and I couldn’t keep a tamagotchi or my sims alive.
Well while I’m certainly not pregers for a while still (gotta get ducks in a row before buying rubber ducks), I do have four little ones who always bring a smile to my face (a fifth is on its way and we have been asked to be Godparents-despite Robin’s reference to The Godfather movies and me asking if I could add fairy to my title-we have some trusting friends )

My four little angels are (in order of age)
1. Janice, she is my 5-year-old cousin who learnt to speak at around the age of 10 months (scared us silly) and never stopped talking-seriously!

2. Kameron (2) is Robin’s brother’s baby, making me an aunt for the first time. She is a real stunner and fearless, the keep your eyes on her or she will try to ride a motorcycle, type fearless.

3. Taylor, is my cousin’s baby she will be 2 tomorrow and is already a little fashionista who can sit and stare at my shoe collection for ages all her dolls are named Jamie except for Barney who she often throws around and says “haha, Barney fell”.

4. Kirsten belongs to my other cousin and has only been around for two months or so, she doesn’t do much except be cute as heck and wear tiny animal shaped shoes-but oh so huggable.

— an honourable mention goes to our friend’s son. Hein’s little boy Riley (the friendliest kid I’ve ever met) has Robin wrapped around his little finger, I must get him to teach me (pity I don’t have a pic)
