I woke up thinking it was Sunday, so you can only imagine the disappointment I felt!!!
WHAAAT how is it Monday, didn’t we just do the Monday thing?
Here are a few pictures of what we got up to the weekend, I don’t have much because my laptop, cellphone and tablet are all working together to make me insane…PS. I’m in a much better mood than last week.

On Sunday we went to the Jeffries Bay to celebrate my brother’s birthday…

Aidan loves the sand, roll in it, push face in it, love!!! water? not so much.
PS. I’m so body boarding at some point this summer, really miss it and don’t see why I can’t just because I’m not comfy in a bikini anymore…

What you can’t see in this picture is the fact that he just ate a mouth full of sand when I had my head turned…

It’s practically weekend again and I have not even loaded last weekends pics…so here goes (I was off for a week so these pictures are more than a weekend) NO time line, and in NO order, just how the blogger app on my phone arranged it 😉

We did an impromptu beach walk…

Kamryn had her 6th birthday

Aidan was the thorn amongst the roses

they had whistles so he didn’t care

He went bonkers at the Kids Expo (it’s like his little body couldn’t contain his joy) that’s his happy dance

He helped me make wrapping paper for birthday gifts, he got a little crazy wit the paint after a while

Rob and I got tattoos, Rob’s is dog tags with our son’s names on…
under Logan he has his Army force number and under Aidan his police force number

I got fake lashes 🙂

I got a Mani pedi too…. that’s an odd view of my hand
I go to BEAUTY WITH A DIFFERENCE because Anestasia rocks, she did my eyes too

We took Aidan to one of those warehouse stores (Makro) and her kept wanting to run away
running is his sign of excitement

We celebrated my cousin Nathan’s 21st birthday
This kid is going places for sure

Today is Robin’s birthday, you all know Rob by now…My husband the great cook (to my detriment) who thinks he is funny and in the words of Pink “I hate so much it must be true love”….

Love that song, here are the lyrics.

But seriously it’s Rob’s birthday and I will take this opportunity to be soppy and announce to the world that I am one lucky girl to be with someone who supports her whole heartedly and would go hungry so she doesn’t have to, someone who although he is ridiculously shy will attend events where strangers will inevitability try to strike up a conversation with him (he is not a fan) just because I HAVE to go 🙂

He was recently bumped up to Culpable Homicide detective and when I asked why on earth he would sign up for a job where you work with death everyday, he replied that someone needs to give these families peace of mind and give the case numbers names and faces… and that right there is why I love this man 🙂

Happy birthday hun, you annoy me but I wouldn’t want to live a day without you, and if I had to I know you are a great dad so Aidan would be taken care of 🙂

Yesterday I got to photograph this stunning girl

The best thing about Stephane is that although it’s pretty obvious that she is beautiful, funny and smart are the actual first two attributes you think of after spending time with her….

Rob and I took half of last week off…we were scheduled to be off to East London but our plans fell through 🙁 but on the up side we got to spend some extra time with Aidan which is always great and turns out we both really needed the rest, leaving home at 6 and returning at 6 the eve can take it’s toll on a person…

Aidan and I got messy outside – his favourite

We took him out for lunch, he doesn’t think baby seats are all that appealing

I turned his door into a chalk board

I tried my hand at knitting-the bow I did a while ago

But I just had to attempt a scarf for him

We went to Sam’s 2nd birthday – oh how time flies

His creative parents did everything themselves…Sooo much cuteness

Weekend in pictures…PLAYDATE FUN!!!

Our Moms Group met up this weekend 🙂 we had a blast and what made it extra special is that we also celebrated a new baby joining our group with a baby shower!!!!
Our host upped the fun by bringing in the super talented Liezel Jacobs from Music&Me to interact with us which was quite a hit….She does sing-along, dance-along, crafts and story time with the kids – which is a great addition to any party – we even got to create a keepsake to take home

We all had a blast and even though the kids still have pretty short attention spans (walking off in the middle of dance routine leaving us to “head, tummy, knees and toes” all by ourselves) they thoroughly enjoyed it…
Aidan especially enjoyed the crafting (which the rest of the moms tease us about because apparently we are soooo used to these things)
