20 facts about me challenge…

Luchae Williams who blogs over HERE  challenged me to list 20 facts about me…its technically a facebook challenge, but I feel more comfortable doing it over here… (also I’m suffering from insomnia tonight)  so here goes:
1. I’m very family orientated
2. I hum/sing when I’m sad
3. I love singing and think i have a good voice, but am reluctant to perform in front of people in case they hate my singing and “take that from me”
4. God plays a big part in my life
5. I never wear shoes at home
6. I wear a size 3 and buy my sneakers in kiddies department  – much cheaper but looks the same
7. The only time I’m not ridiculously clumsy is when I have Aidan in my arms
8. I was afraid to change Aidan’s nappy because “he is a boy”

18. I’m a chronic over thinker
19. I’m pretty social awkward and have to talk myself into social situations
20. My next tattoo sums up my life “born of fire and faith” also Aidan means  born of fire

My NFL pick…well sorta

I don’t claim to know a lot about the NFL (National Football League) I mean I do come from a country where football conjures up pictures of the 2010 Soccer World Cup and Shakira’s Waka Waka song not touchdowns and offensive units like in American football…BUT I do watch enough TV to have a pretty good  idea of game rules and the culture and I’m always up for a challenge, that is why when the good people over at Fanatics challenged me to build an outfit around a NFL jersey I was super keen to try it out…

Here is what I came up with…. A game day outfit build around the Washington Redskins Team shirt which can be bought here direct links for clothes below pictures 🙂

Top:

Nike Robert Griffin Washington Redskins Women’s Game Jersey – Burgundy

Pants: I wanted something that is comfy and says “one of the boys” without loosing sex appeal

Washington Redskins Ladies Cheerleader Boot Cut Jeans

Shoes:  I’m not really a sneaker girl but thought heels would be a little out of place so I went for these cute pumps because, you can’t go wrong with pumps
Bag: The Duffel Bag is crazy cute, all slouchy and huge, plus it supports your team without being in your face
Bracelet: because cancer awareness is close to my heart
Water Bottle
And no mother can resist picking something up for the little one 🙂

1.What is your favourite tv show?
I change this sooooooo often, I’m very fickle, but you can be sure it’ll be something funny…At the moment I’m loving Men AtWork

Blue! I love all shades of blue
3. What is your favourite food?
I love brownies, good brownies mind you, not cake with an identity crisis

I have a polka dot clutch my late aunt gave me, it is a def fav!
6. What product is your favourite to make?
It changes a lot, but  now it’s probably play dough, it’s just so easy and so many variations! I can make glittery or scented and I have enough little ones to appreciate it
7. Vintage or New?
I like vintage things and new things that like vintage for that matter
8. What hair colour do you wish you had?
I want a goldy brown that doesn’t make me look washed out…one day

I’m going with local girls Salama @ http://sal-b.tumblr.com/  Odette @ www.osoinspired.com/‎  and Charlie

Happy Monday all

Thankful day 4

Today I’m thankful that it’s never too late to find joy…
This comes from earlier when I was crazy busy that kind of busy where you are barely treading water, and you feel like you are filling a bath tub using a medicine dropper because nothing seems to be getting done… I was overwhelmed with too much work and too much of not feeling well (still sickly) so I didn’t think about being thankful!
Because let’s face it when your not feeling well you’re not likely to feel too thankful, but then a blog reader reminded me that I didn’t update my thankful list…I then thought about what I was thankful for today, I wasn’t sure until I realised I was eating a happy meal my hubby bought to cheer me up and I was laying on a GIANT pillow watching tv while listening to my boys play together…and guess what? I’m content, and happy and blessed and it’s never too late in the day to find your joy 🙂 so remember to find your joy wherever you can 😉

Thankful Day 3

This one might sound weird but I’m thankful we named Logan, not everyone does,I have seen many baby graves with just “baby” on, so I’m glad we named him as it has helped with healing and it means I can get a touch of nostalgia when I see his name like on this wine label…Logie Bear, I’m thankful for getting to be your mom, albeit for a short time

Thankful day 2

Today I’m thankful for my job, its not everyone who grows up doing what they did for fun as a kid (I used to design faux newspapers and magazines when I was little…seriously at about 11ish I was handing out monthly family newsletters) now I’m deputy head of design…Yeah me!
I also realise that good jobs are hard to come by due to the current economic climate and talented educated people are sitting at home with no means of income, so I’m thankful for my job even if it can be a bit much at times, hehehe
