Yesterday while walking to the train from work (not recommended in a short skirt, cos the pervy guys will make you feel like you’re in an episode of the bachelorette “train edition”) I was looking at the art on the walls of the train station and thinking how beatiful the pictures are (didn’t have my camera with me, darnit) I then saw that if you looked closer the pictures actually had all these tarnishes on it like paint droplets from renovations and scratches from goodness knows what, I realised that even with time taking its toll the paintings were still beautiful and I wouldn’t even recommend fixing it. So as I get to the last painting I see the date stamp says the paintings are just as old as I am, created in the same year I was born…sentimental moment…This got me thinking about how my life has changed, how I have changed as a person over the years, how I myself have been tarnished, damaged, broken in places, but am proud to say have survived with the same spirit if not better 🙂
That’s my soppy moment for the week just a note to say, embrace the darkness as it makes you appreciate the light
