I have not done one of these about me things in a while, but since I have a bunch new subscribers and followers (thank you guys so much , btw)  I thought I would do one…

Also I figure it’s a nice diversion from the seriousness that has been going on around here lately. You know like date rape, standing up for yourself a list of people who can suck it, that sort of thing.

So here goes an about me tag…Well I don’t think it counts as an about me tag if no one actually tagged me but hey, here is some random info about me…in case I’m not already the queen of overshare:

What is your name?

Eleanor Alwene Douglas-Meyers , the double barrel is not just for show it is how it is on legal documents and everything

Where are you from?

I am from, and still live in Uitenhage which forms part of Nelson Mandela Bay, I am very pro #sharethebay

How tall are you?

I am not tall in the slightest. I am 1.55m tall

How many siblings do you have?

I have two siblings, a brother and a sister, the two boys that often feature on my instagram are theirs.

Is this your first blog?

Yes and No. I used to run a fashion blog for the newspaper I worked for so that would be my first blog, however JustEllaBella is the first space where I have been able to run wild and talk about myself if need be (like lets say today)

What is your blog about?

It is really just a lifestyle blog about me and my boys. So there is a lot of  vents, talk about hair, crafting and reviewing things

Why should anyone subscribe to your blog?

Because I asked really nicely? But honestly I think what has helped me grow the blog is that I’m pretty damn honest. About heart break, about annoyances, about products that suck. I am very what you see is what you get and I think the biggest compliment I ever get is when people tell me that I am exactly like they expected me to be.

Where do you see yourself (and your blog) in 5 years?

I am all about personal growth and saying yes to new opportunities. I have some merchandise coming out at the end of the year but otherwise, I am just going to ride the wave and see where it takes me

What inspired you to start blogging?

I am a journalist “by trade” and when I moved over to doing design and layout full time there was this part of me that really wanted to write so I started this blog and that is what I do now

What does your blog name mean?

I have a few nicknames, well only two really Elle or Ella. A friend of mine started calling me Ella Bella for fun and I liked the sound of it

Best thing about blogging?

The amazing people I have met, the friendships I have formed and getting to do the #ECMeetup with Luchae from  myspreadsheetbrain

Worst thing about blogging?

You know how comparison is the thief of joy, well blogging is often a hub of comparison. You can’t help but wonder if you are doing good enough. Why am I not considered for that press drop or that campaign. Also, there are some bloggers out there who are very “you can’t sit with us” WHAT? It’s true

What are your goals when it comes to blogging?

I didn’t know I needed goals, I just want to share things with people 🙂

Any advice for new bloggers?

Be you, the rest will fall in to place – I say as if I’m super duper famous
