Can I style five looks with one dress and my shortest hair ever?
That’s what I asked myself recently. Well I didn’t ask myself about the hair because when I chatted to Label Collections about the challenge I didn’t even know that I would be sitting here with practically a TWA (teeny weeny afro). I did know however that I missed fashion posts and love challenges so I wanted to try it out.
When Label Collections agreed to sponsor a “surprise dress” for my five looks challenge I was kind of hoping for something black, but instead I got a magenta tunic which had me scratching my head. Can a dress this distinct create five looks individual enough for the challenge….you be the judge (I have the same glasses on, it’s the Sally frame from Ootrey)
For a market hopPing:
Outfit: I paired the dress with a lacey waterfall cardigan from the last #purgeparty and beige and pink brogues from Fashion world.
Hair: initially I styled with Stylish Steppers curling cream making a few finger twists to frame my face. For the first look I clipped up one side of my hair and used a flower headband from Mr P to add a cute element
Make-up: Essence Matte Mousse in Caramel, Essence Lash Princess Mascara, dark brown Yardley Eyebrow Pencil, Avon Gold Highlighter Stick, Woolworths Eye Palette in Modern Myth and Essence Kajal Pencil in Black…. Only the lipstick changes with the looks this one is Catrice in Casanova I’m not sure which formula it is, only that it was in a sale basket at Dischem and is now my favorite everyday lipstick.
Date night look:
Outfit: I paired the dress with a shirt dress from Mr P, a vintage handbag from my MIL and a pair of beautiful brown heels from the fix (another purge party find)
Hair: Fluff out the curls big, creating bangs and then clipping up one side
Lipstick: Essence Matt Matt Matt in Drama Club
Soccer mom look:
Outfit: Just paired the dress with a pair of floral sneakers in a matching shade
Hair: For this one I went a little “pin up” by pinning my hair on both sides and then tying a scarf around my head and making a little bow
Lipstick: The shade is actually prettier in real life, less purply more deep red… Infact it’s Certainly red by Revlon from Woolworths
A MILLION ERRANDS:
Outfit: I tucked the dress in and paired it with a pair of jeggings from Woolworths (my absolute favorite).I added this layered necklace from Mr P and my most comfortable shoes ever, grey “pumps” from Rage
Hair: I went for a faux hawk by pinning my hair on both sides.
Lipstick: Matt Matt Matt in Beauty Approved
Night out:
Outfit: I paired my dress with black stocking from Truworths, a black jacket with faux leather collar from Mr P and a pair of killer leopard print booties from YDE
Hair: I did a french twist on the back of my head and fluffed the curls on top of my head for what I hope is a punk look
Lipstick: Mabeline in midnight blue
