Rob and I have started doing date nights again. It took a while to align our schedules with babysitters and funds, but we are finally making it work.
Last week we took date night to Craft at the Boardwalk. It’s where Squires used to be, you know like on the way to the movies.
This year on what would have been Logan’s 4th birthday another little boy was celebrated…Levi
His birth to friend and colleague, Catherine, and her husband Nick was a little bit of a turning point for me last year. Knowing how much they wanted this child and how blessed they all are to have each other somehow took some of the sting out of March 6. It’s a blessing on a day I’ve come to see as a curse. I like that, like a rainbow of sorts 🙂

I’m no stranger to the Boardwalk complex, it’s probably the safest evening outdoor hangout in the Bay (with it’s bright lights and around the clock security) and since it has something for all ages, I have spent many a day there.
When I was younger it would be where my family; uncles, aunts and cousins all met up because there is something for every age group, some would go to the game arcade, others would go bowling and the food court meant we didn’t fight about where to eat. PERFECT.
After Aidan was born it became one of our favourite family hang outs, with family friendly festivals, concerts and a son who loves the game arcade it has been pretty convenient.
This weekend was different though, this weekend Rob and I ditched the “family friendly, tiny ice-cream stained hands tugging at my dress” side of the boardwalk and properly ADULTED.
If you in Nelson Mandela Bay and are looking for something fun to do with the kiddies tomorrow, hunt no more (bad pun I know) There are a couple egg-citing events (last one I promise) happening in PE tomorrow….
Today’s party took place last year already but I remembered being so impressed with my friend,Ranique ‘s, handy work I just had to share her son,Adam’s, Mickey cuteness.
