When we #sharethebay, quite literally

You may have noticed that I like to #sharethebay. Meaning I like to show off the city in blog posts and social media…I’m proudly NMB and the #ECMeetup proves that there is much to be proud of.

Since day one, when Lu and I decided to give this blogger meetup thing a go, we have been embraced and supported by the city. She talks about our day one homies (nope I am definitely not street enough to make that work) over on her blog today. Meanwhile, I want to chat about the new guys…

We have a bunch of new local sponsors coming onboard… here they are in no specific order:

bohemi yoga

The kiddies yoga school I chatted about here , little Lots, has added a grown people section, Bohemi Yoga ,and are eager to share some yoga love. Owner Marilize is passionate about her work and it shows. She offers different options from art and yoga lessons, rock climbing and yoga classes and even special classes for the fuller figured woman who might not feel comfortable in her other classes.

BallynaFagh Farm

This hidden gem is a working horse and lucern farm, nestled in the farming valley of Kruis Rivier. They offer professional horse riding lessons and trips and give kids more than just a trip around the field. They educate visitors about caring for animals and offer accommodation packages which online reviews say leave you feeling like you are a pair of cow boots away from a Texas ranch

Ootrey

I’m particularly excited that Ootrey (Yes, the spectacle specialists I proudly rep) form part of this year’s sponsor line up. They are known for being able to kit you out in prescription glasses for only R899 and have recently added sunglasses to their shop floor (their digital shop that is)

Nutristart

This home-grown breakfast cereal (as in it was developed and is produced right here in the bay) have come onboard eager to share some health-conscious love. Their products are wheat free and contain no refined sugars making them a breakfast win.

Krulkop Society

This local brand has not been around for very long but the have certainly made a mark. They started out focusing on the natural hair market, with quirky t-shirts spreading empowering messages. The brand has since grown to include services and products with the aim of inspiring through spreading messages of self-love, affirmation, love and appreciation.

Tootsie and Beau

This local design company specialises in quirky small batch items. From clothing to decor and accessories they are the place to go for specialised gifts. The owner is hands-on with all products and her talent and passion are equally obvious in all the items she creates

Valley Crag

You remember when I went wall climbing and didn’t die? The people responsible for this miraculous show of agility have signed up as #ECMeetup sponsors. The valley road venue is the perfect place to challenge yourself and we are thrilled to have them onboard

So these are the six newest #sharethebay additions… do show them some love. Their products are quality and affordable (my fave) and perfectly showcase through the diversity of the bay…
